Delight in Every Bite: Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

The love of the smell of freshly baked brownies is universal, but when autumn arrives, incorporating the essence of the season into the classic treats leads a delightful recipe. These Pumpkin Swirl Brownies are a perfect blend of deep chocolate tones and the comforting spices of a pumpkin pie. This dessert is a symphony of flavors that echoes the spirit of the fall season. Chocolate and pumpkin might just be the unsung heroes of the autumn flavor palette. Not only do Pumpkin Swirl Brownies satisfy that deep, chocolaty craving, but they also embrace the nostalgia of pumpkin pie spices. Crafting these brownies involves preparing a chocolate brownie batter and a pumpkin spice blend separately. Layering and swirling the two batters together creates a beautiful, marbled design. The result is a creation that not only looks impressive but delivers a complexity of flavors that will have everyone rushing to the kitchen.

In this simple yet exquisite dessert, each ingredient plays an important role. To achieve the perfect Pumpkin Swirl Brownie, you'll need brownie ingredients, pumpkin layer and a good swirl technique. Begin by sourcing fresh, quality ingredients, including real pumpkin puree, not just for its taste but for the moistness it lends. For the brownie this includes classics like melted chocolate or cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and butter that provide the dense and chocolatey foundation. For the pumpkin layer it will be made with real pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, as this mixture infuses the brownies with the season's signature scents and tastes. Lastly, achieving the swirl technique involves adding dollops of pumpkin mixture atop the brownie batter and artfully swirling with a knife.

The Art of Swirling Success:

- Place spoonsful of pumpkin batter about an inch apart on top of the chocolate layer.

- Using the tip of a knife or toothpick, glide through the batters in a swirling motion to create a marbled effect.

- Tap the pan gently on the countertop to settle the batter and enhance the swirls' visibility.

- For a pronounced pattern, use a consistent swirling motion.

- To enhance the effect, alternate the swirl direction between adjacent rows.

- Remember, less is more, and over-swirling can muddy the distinct flavors.

The swirling not only makes for a stunning presentation but also allows every bite to deliver a great fusion of flavors. Visual appeal is half the treat with these brownies. Achieving it is a simple, yet delicate process so be sure to follow these steps on how to swirl brownies.

Celebrating Independence Day with a Sweet Twist: 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza

The crackle of fireworks, the joyous singing of patriotic songs, and the laughter of families gathering to celebrate. These are the hallmarks of America's Independence Day. No 4th of July celebration or pool party is complete without the perfect dessert to highlight your festive atmosphere. Enter this delightful and eye-catching 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza! This treat is a combination of dessert pizza with sugar cookie and a cream cheese frosting, along with the fresh burst of seasonal fruits, all pieced together to resemble our great flag herself. This is not just a treat, it's also a great centerpiece that captures the festive spirit of the occasion.

What is a Dessert Pizza?

A dessert pizza can be a delightfully sweet spin on the classic savory dish that famously graces dinner tables worldwide. It transforms the pizza-eating experience with a sweet twist that tempts the taste buds of dessert lovers everywhere.

A dessert pizza typically features a base made from cookie dough or sweet pastry, differing drastically from the yeasty pizza dough we're accustomed to. Rather than tomato sauce and mozzarella, it's generously topped with various sweet treats like fruits, chocolate, and whipped cream. Particularly, this 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza takes the form of a soft sugar cookie crust deliciously dressed in cream cheese frosting and adorned with an array of fruits that mirror the stars and stripes of the American flag. For those seeking a treat that everyone will love for Independence Day parties, look no further than this dessert. This fusion of pizza joy with a patriotic flare is the creative dessert that all your guests will remember.

The 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza is creativity and imagination brought to life and is a festive dessert synonymous with Independence Day rejoicing. The recipe all begins with the canvas, which is a perfectly sweet and soft sugar cookie dough base, waiting to be covert with sweet and fresh toppings. The red stripes of the flag materialize from succulent strawberries and raspberries framed against blueish patches of blueberries and blackberries, creating an impressive stars-and-stripes design. Beneath this colorful array lies the sweet secret that is a plush layer of cream cheese frosting, meant to be the white stripes of our beloved flag and giving the dessert a rich, creamy texture. This treat needs little expertise to perfect and never fails to impress guests, from the little one's marveling at the fireworks to the adults toasting to freedom.

Ingredients & Time Saving Tips

The key to a magical 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza is in the combination of its quality components. A base of sugar cookie dough sets the stage, and is a foundation of both sweet and crisp, setting up the flavors to come. Next a generous spread of cream cheese frosting enters onto the cooled crust, acting almost like a glue for the toppings. The true stars and stripes are colorful fresh fruits comprised of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blackberries and blueberries, fresh and bursting with the traditional colors of the day. To achieve the flag's white elements pipe in extra frosting in a fun design. For an extra bit of zest, optional toppings such as coconut shavings or a chocolate drizzle might be used to elevate the dessert from fantastic to unforgettable.

Whipping up this patriotic treat doesn't have to take too much time. Here's a few tips on how to save time while crafting your 4th of July masterpiece. Make the sugar cookie base ahead of time. Avoid the last-minute rush by pre-slicing your fruits. Their colors will remain vibrant as you quickly arrange them on the day. Have no time for homemade glazes? No problem. Opt for ready-to-use store-bought fruit jams to add both gloss and flavor in a time-friendly fashion. A pre-planned flag design avoids on-the-spot creativity blocks, ensuring smooth sailing during the dessert assembly. Still swamped? You may find it fun and helpful to engage your kids or guests in the decorating process. It can be a creative activity that lessens your load and enhances their festive experience.

More Tips

Berries are not just toppings; they're the darlings of our 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza. To ensure they live up to this role follow a few extra tips. Favor berries that are not just ripe but sweet and firm. A dry berry is a happy berry for this recipe. Moisture is the enemy of crisp cookie crusts, so thoroughly pat the washed berries dry. Creatively place blueberries and raspberries to form the flag's emblematic stars and stripes, striking a balance between form and flavor. A berry glaze can act like varnish on a masterpiece, giving the fruit a glossy finish that's both attractive and tastefully sweet. Slice them uniformly and place them shortly before serving to uphold the structural integrity of your cookie crust. You can also leave some whole to give a variety of shapes and styles.

Why We Love This Recipe

In every bite of the 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza, there's reason to adore this festive creation. It's a recipe steeped in patriotism, and with its vibrant display of red, white, and blue, it makes for a fitting tribute to the holiday. With each mouthful, you're met with the perfect blend of sweet sugar cookies and tart, fresh fruit. The visual allure of this dessert is undeniable, and yet, the simplicity of its construction makes it easy enough to all who wish to try making this fun treat. This is a fun recipe that brings people together, making the preparation as memorable as the consumption.

A Mini Twist!

The 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza also comes with a playful variation. Imagine a miniature rendition of this classic dessert like a small bite cookie which will be a mini twist of this dessert. Each miniature sugar cookie patiently awaits its own topping of cream cheese and fruit. Strawberries and blueberries will be fewer in number but no less significant and will still stand perfectly atop each mini pizza. This variation is perfect for times when personal space is cherished or when every guest deserves their very own patriotic treat. These can also be given as a favor for guests to take home. It's a small twist, literally, but one that still upholds the spirit and fun of the holiday in each precious slice.

How to Store 4th of July Fruit Pizza

To keep your fruit pizza in peak condition, here's how to store the stars and stripes sweetness properly. Wrap your dessert pizza with a blanket of airtight wrap, ensuring the fruit stays bright and the cookie crust undisturbed. Time things wisely and hold off on those glazes until the last moment to keep the crust from absorbing undue moisture. If stacking slices becomes necessary, parchment paper is your friend, acting as a delicate barrier maintaining each pizza's integrity. Note the lifespan of the assembled pizza, which is two days at most, for the fruit, in its natural state. Remember it will soon become a syrupy top with the soft crust. Always keep it cool, because the refrigerator is the ideal place before the grand unveiling of your 4th of July creation.

In conclusion, the 4th of July Sugar Cookie Flag Fruit Pizza is more than just dessert. This festive classic is a great centerpiece, a great conversation starter, and the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day. The American Flag Fruit Pizza is a delicious symbol of celebration. Its simplicity is matched by its patriotism, offering everyone a chance to create, enjoy, and share in a tribute to freedom and festivity. So, as you prepare to mark this Independence Day, remember that every slice of this patriotic fruit pizza will bring together those closest to you to help celebrate this great country.

Delight in Every Slice: Delicious Blueberry Cake with Mascarpone Frosting

Indulge your sweet tooth in the symphony of flavors that is the Delicious Blueberry Cake with Mascarpone Frosting. This classic dessert is a harmonious blend of sweet and tart, thanks to the fresh, plump blueberries and the deliciously rich mascarpone cream. As the name suggests, it's not just about the taste, its also about the frosting of creamy mascarpone cheese that adds a luxurious touch and sets this cake apart. Whether you're planning a sophisticated afternoon tea or looking for a summertime dessert that impresses at picnics and garden parties, this cake promises a visual feast and a party in your mouth.

Imagine fresh blueberries folded into a sumptuous batter, providing a juicy burst of flavor that perfectly offsets the sweetness of the cake. However, the real magic happens when this moist, berry-studded sponge meets its match in the form of a creamy, decadent Mascarpone frosting. Far from ordinary, mascarpone frosting steps up as a sophisticated alternative to common buttercream and is a statement maker in both texture and taste. This cake isn't just a treat for the palate; it's a feast for the eyes, especially when adorned with piped blueberries for a fun and adorable element.

Fresh blueberries are the star of the show, with their bright burst of flavor complementing the sweet cake. Luxurious Mascarpone frosting offers a silkier, more refined texture than traditional buttercream. This makes the cake ideal for a range of occasions, and the cake can be dressed up or down according to the event. Elevate the cake's presentation with garnishes like fresh fruit and citrus zest for an added pop of color and taste.

When one thinks of frosting, Mascarpone often doesn't come to mind, but it should. This creamy Italian cheese, usually reserved for tiramisu, makes for a frosting that's rich but not overpowering, subtle in sweetness, which is exactly what our Delicious Blueberry Cake requires. Transforming the sweet blueberry into an elegant dessert, the Mascarpone frosting coats each layer with velvety luxury, while the hint of lemon zest cuts through the richness, balancing each bite. Unlike its denser counterpart, buttercream, Mascarpone creates a frosting that's light and spreadable, perfectly accentuating the cake, both in flavor and aesthetic. This isn't just frosting, it's an upgrade that adds finesse and elevates the cake to a premium dessert tier that will stand out at any gathering. Mascarpone elevates the cake, adding creaminess and subtle sweetness. The frosting's lightness complements the tart blueberries in a symphony of flavor. It spreads smoothly for a flawless finish.

Not just reserved for frosting, Mascarpone incorporates beautifully into the baking process, contributing to the Delicious Blueberry Cake's moist crumb and rich, nuanced flavor profile. Its creamy texture and slight sweetness melds with the brightness of blueberries to create an unforgettable celebratory dish that's as fitting for a casual Sunday brunch as it is for an elegant evening soiree. To ensure success when integrating Mascarpone in baking, bring the cheese to room temperature. This is crucial for smooth frosting and even mixing into batter. It is a simple step, but one that makes all the difference.

Berry Swap: Fresh vs. Frozen Blueberries in Your Cake

Seasonality need not limit the enjoyment of a Delicious Blueberry Cake with Mascarpone Frosting. Frozen blueberries stand as a viable substitute for fresh ones, ensuring this cake's year-round appeal. Opt for frozen blueberries when fresh aren't available but remember to thaw and drain them first. Lightly coat them in flour to avoid them sinking through the batter during the bake. The vibrant taste remains unaffected, though the varying moisture levels may slightly alter the cake's hue. Frozen blueberries afford convenience and consistency, ensuring this cake's status as a perennial favorite regardless of the season.

Lasting Sweetness: Storing Your Blueberry Mascarpone Masterpiece

Leftovers, if they happen, require care to preserve the cake's fresh, tantalizing qualities. Refrigerate in a sealed container, where the cake will remain fresh for 3-5 days. A plastic wrap against cut surfaces staves off dryness. Store the cake away from foods with strong odors to avoid taste transfer. For extended storage, wrap cake slices and freeze, then defrost before serving for an almost-as-good-as-fresh experience. Maintaining leftovers properly means this cake can continue to delight for days, each slice a testament to the time and love invested in its creation.

As the final crumbs settle, the Delicious Blueberry Cake with Mascarpone Frosting exits not just as a recipe but as an experience that is a delight to both the eye and the palate. The dance of the velvet caress of Mascarpone and the pop of blueberries combines into a confection that's far more than the sum of its parts. For those days that call for something special or moments when only a slice of perfection will do, this cake stands ready to answer the call.

In another bowl whisk together heavy cream and egg gently pour into the flour mixture and hand mix together to make a shaggy mixture that will crumble nicely on top of the plums. Which yeast is best for cinnamon rolls + how to know when yeast is activated

The key to success is using the right type of yeast. Active dry yeast is the best choice for this recipe. To ensure that the yeast is activated, look for bubbles forming on the surface of the mixture. You will pre-check this after adding the yeast to water in this recipe. Once the yeast is activated, the mixture will expand and become foamy. If your mixture does not foam, the yeast may be old or not activated properly. I love both chocolate and peanut butter so much, so naturally when mixed together and its doubly delicious. They both just melt in your mouth, and my sweet tooth just can't get enough. That's why I made these brownies for my friends and family. You won't be able to stop with just one, and I promise you wont be disappointed!

You can serve these up fresh out of the oven, or let come to room temperature and add-on a delicious peanut butter buttercream frosting topping making for a delicious cake brownie!

What Pan is Best for Baking Brownies?

I am using the newest 360 cookware brownie pan and its the absolute best pan for baking brownies to ensure even baking. I always use their stainless steel pans for the best non-toxic baking. All of their pots and pans are also made homegrown here in America which I love, and from my dealings with them they are the nicest company!! This recipe works perfect for this pan size only, but if you are wanting to make it in one of their other pans like the jelly roll -here- or bake and roast pan -here- you will need to double everything in the recipe. Ingredients :

1/4 cup melted butter

2 oz melted chocolate

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 brown sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup melted peanut butter

Instructions & Directions :

1. Add hot melted butter to chocolate and mix until chocolate melts. If it doesn't melt quick enough I put my mixing bowl -here- on top of my 2 quart sauce pot -here- on my stove. Stirring the entire time to prevent from burning.

2. After melted, mix into bowl eggs & vanilla ingredients.

Next add in unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and flour ingredients until well blended.

3. Take your brownie pan of choice and pour 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter and using a paper towel coat the entire pan evenly. Pour in brownie batter

4. In a new bowl melt peanut butter and add tablespoons of peanut butter into brownie mix. Taking a sharp knife swirl around peanut butter. Be sure not to over swirl or the peanut butter brown will start to blend with brownie batter. You want them to have a fun design and the peanut butter to be equally spread throughout, while still being separate from brownie batter.

5. Bake for 25 minutes at 350.

6. Remove from oven and let cool before cutting and ENJOY!

Substitute:

A few substitutions you can make are:

  • Regular brown sugar to dark brown sugar - this will give a more rich taste for this substitute.

  • Adding 1/4 cup chocolate chips into brownie batter - this will give you a richer and gooier brownie! This combination is amazing if you love a rich chocolate dessert!

  • Trading our butter for olive oil - I am always a fan of butter however if you cannot have butter switching to olive oil is the best switch to make in the directions.

I really hope you guys enjoy my Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies recipe! This is one of my favorite baked goods to enjoy at home or to take to a party! If you are precutting to take to an event I suggest placing on parchment paper in an airtight container for the best presentation and taste!

Taste the Deliciousness of Pistachio Cake: A Treat for Any Occasion

Every June for quite a few years now I have been making this Pistachio Birthday Cake for My husband Scotty. My idea for this cake all started with his love for pistachio ice cream. It is his go-to ice cream when out at an ice cream shop. So, being that he seemingly never could think of a favorite cake for himself, I thought one year I’d go ahead and make a Pistachio Cake along with pistachio ice cream, and it's been our tradition ever since! Let me know in the comments below if I should share the ice cream recipe too! I hope you enjoy this just as much as the birthday boy himself!

Pistachio cake is a delicious dessert that is perfect for special occasions like birthdays or holidays. It is made from scratch with just a few simple ingredients, making it easy to make without too many complicated steps. The result is a moist and flavorful cake with a crunchy nutty topping that everyone will love! Plus, it’s a great way to use up leftover pistachios. The base is a simple cake batter with pistachios mixed in. For the topping, you have a combination of butter, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and sprinkled nuts on top to create a crunchy texture.

The final product is a moist and flavorful cake with a crunchy nutty topping. It’s perfect for special occasions and makes a great gift for family and friends. Everyone will love the sweet and nutty flavor of this cake. So if you’re looking for a delicious dessert that is easy to make and sure to please, you must make this pistachio cake. With just a few simple ingredients and no complicated steps, you can make a sweet treat that everyone will love!

How to Enhance the Pistachio Flavor Into Cake

Pistachio cake is a delicious dessert that is perfect for any special occasion. The nutty flavor of pistachios pairs perfectly with moist cake and creamy frosting. I incorporate some lightly-crushed pistachios into the cake batter as well as further enhance the flavor of the cake by adding a few teaspoons of almond extract. To get the most intense pistachio flavor, you can use real pistachio paste or extract in your cake batter. For a toasty twist on the flavor, toast the nuts before adding them to the cake batter as well.

Key Ingredients

This cake is made with all-purpose flour, eggs, butter, sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, milk, pistachios, and cream cheese. The all-purpose flour provides the cake with a light, airy texture and structure. The eggs act as a binding agent and help keep the cake moist. Butter adds flavor and richness to the cake while the sugar helps to sweeten it and create a tender crumb. Baking powder helps the cake to rise and gives it a nice texture, while salt enhances the flavor of the cake. The addition of vanilla extract adds a nice flavor to the cake, while the milk helps to keep it moist. With these ingredients, you're sure to have a delicious Pistachio Cake that will be a hit with everyone!

Decorating Inspiration

Pistachio Cake is a delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. Adding crushed nuts and fresh berries to the top of the cake is an easy way to add a colorful layer of flavor. For an extra special touch, consider drizzling a rich chocolate sauce over the top of the cake. This simple step adds a decadent finish that will have your guests coming back for seconds.

Pistachio Cake is a truly unique dessert that combines the nutty flavor of pistachios with the sweet and fluffy texture of a traditional cake. This delicious cake is made with crushed pistachios in the batter, giving it an extra crunchy and nutty texture. The crushed pistachios are also used as a topping, giving the cake a beautiful decorative element and an extra layer of flavor. Pistachio Cake has a delicate, creamy flavor that pairs well with a variety of other flavors, such as chocolate, strawberries, and caramel.

The unique flavor of pistachio makes it a great choice for special occasions, such as birthdays or anniversaries. Whether you’re looking for a unique and delicious cake for a special occasion or just want to try something new, Pistachio Cake is sure to be a hit. Its unique flavor and texture make it a great choice for any event or party. So if you’re looking to impress your guests, Pistachio Cake is the perfect dessert to make.

Does Pistachio Cake Need to Be Refrigerated?

Pistachio Cake is the perfect dessert for those days when you want to enjoy something sweet but don't want to worry about it spoiling. This delicate cake has a light and moist texture that can easily be kept at room temperature, so you don't have to worry about refrigerating it. However, the frosting does need to be refrigerated. If you want to use this recipe to make a pistachio bundt cake without frosting you can leave it out at room temperature. If you are making it as a cake with this delicious frosting then you will need to keep it in the fridge after serving due to the mascarpone in the frosting. It can stay at room temp for a few hours, just not overnight. The ease of keeping Pistachio Cake at room temperature makes it a great choice for picnics and outdoor events. You can easily transport the cake and enjoy it without worrying about it spoiling. So the next time you are looking for a delicious dessert to take to a gathering, Pistachio Cake should definitely be on the menu.

An Easy Pistachio Cake Recipe

Icing

1 cup salted butter

5 cups powdered sugar

8 oz mascarpone

Chopped Pistachios for decorating top

Instructions

  1. Prep by oiling 3 circle pans (8 or 9 inch - my favorite are the 360 cookware with handles I will link below) and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  5. Alternate adding in dry ingredients & Milk/sour cream until all blended.

  7. Once combined pour into baking dish. I use 3 pans that are oiled and put into oven. 20-30 min or until a toothpick put into center comes out clean. For a taller cake like in my photos you can double this recipe making 6 layers (which will also feed more!)

Brown Butter Caramel Pretzel Cookies

These cookies are probably my all time favorite homemade ones.. That’s a big statement being that I love to bake so much, but I’m pretty sure they can hold up the pressure of it! They have all the tastes with the salt, the sweet, and the crunch! So good that the hubby even agrees with me! You may think he’s just being nice because he is my husband. He is sweet.. but he would never lie about my cooking to save face! If I ever need to know if a recipe is good enough to share online.. I call on him and my mom. They both without a doubt will give me their honest opinions no matter what!

Now that I hyped these cookies up.. I have to tell you the bad news. They do take a few hours to make!! (Sorry!!) However the hours that it takes are mostly spent with them in the fridge cooling. So in reality its not too bad and it just means you get more done during that time!

Let’s Get Cooking!

IMG_0467.JPG
IMG_0464.JPG

Recipe:

1 cup butter (2 sticks)

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 dark brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla

2 large eggs

2 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 package of chocolate covered caramels

1 cup crushed pretzels + more to add in later

Sea Salt

Directions:

1. Making brown butter! You want to melt the 2 sticks of butter in a pan until they boil, change in color and start to smell a nutty delicious flavor! The entire house will smell like this and its heavenly. Once the butter gets brown in color and is a yummy nutty smell put into a bowl and let sit cool 5 min. Next, put that bowl into the fridge for 1 hour. I suggest to stir at the 30 min mark just to make sure its cooling evenly and as fast as possible. Once the butter is more like butter and not melted you are ready!

2. While the butter is in the fridge this is the perfect time to get the goodies ready for the end. The chocolate covered caramels I typically use are the Dove brand (if you are a fan of another kind any will work). Unwrap and cut each candy into 4 pieces. Fill a plastic bag with 1 cup of pretzels and crush them!

3. Blend in both sugars and vanilla completely

4. Add in eggs, one at a time

5. Slowly add in all dry ingredients a little at a time until well blended.

6. Now the dough is all ready add in the chocolate caramels and pretzels. Don’t over blend of the chocolate and caramel will over mix and not be in whole chunks.

7. Roll into dough balls, sprinkle with sea salt and add extra pieces of pretzel on corners for extra crunch!

8. Bake at 375 for 9-11 min.

9. Let cool and enjoy!

Braeburn apples are full of flavor and hold their shape when baked, making them an ideal choice. For a sweeter pie, Golden Delicious apples add a hint of tartness and are great for baking pies. Finally, Jonathan apples are sweet and tart, making them a great addition of flavor and texture to your apple pie. I like to mix 2 or 3 different apple types to give each bite a unique and delicious flavor. Two of my favorites are the Granny Smith and Golden Delicious together. With these apples in hand, you’re ready to make a delicious & easy apple pie.

Apple Pie Ingredients

2 store-bought roll-out crusts

7 cups thinly sliced apples (I like to do a mix of two different types of apples)

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 cup melted butter

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/4 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 egg with 1 tablespoons water mixed for egg washing

Instructions

1. Take out pie crust and pre-heat oven to 425

2. Peel and cut apples into evenly thinly sliced pieces. Place in a large bowl with cinnamon and toss.

3. Melt butter in the microwave until completely melted. Whisk in flour, water and lastly sugar blending until it all comes together. After fully mixed pour in the apple mixture and fully blend.

4. Take pie crusts that have been sitting out and roll over a sprinkle of flour. Take store-bought crust and lay it over a pre-oiled pie pan. Fill the pan with the apple mixture. Lastly, for the design of your pie the options are endless! I did a crisscross pie here and used extra dough with leaf cookie cutters to make the top even more fun!

5. Once the top is all designed and ready to go use egg wash mixture (1 egg and 1 tbsp water whisked) and brush onto dough.

6. Bake at 425 for 15 min and then reduce heat to 350 and bake for another 45 min or until apples are a soft consistency.
