What is brown butter?

The secret ingredient that sets these cookies apart from the rest is brown butter. Brown butter is a cooking technique that adds a rich and nutty flavor to recipes. To make brown butter, simply melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until the butter foams and the milk solids turn golden brown. This technique can add an extra layer of flavor to a variety of dishes, from sauces and soups to baked goods. The brown butter in these cookies is what gives them such an incredible depth of flavor, and it is further enhanced by the addition of maple syrup, pecans, and chocolate chunks. With a combination of sweet and savory flavors, these Brown Butter Maple Pecan Chocolate Chunk Cookies will quickly become a favorite.
