Ingredients
( serving size 6 )
1 sheet of frozen puff pastry
2-3 pears, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon sugar or brown sugar
1 tablespoons cane sugar
Pinch or two of ground cinnamon
1 egg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 and let puff pastry start to defrost for 5-10 minutes while thinly slicing pears.
Mix together sugars and cinnamon in a bowl. In another bowl whisk together the egg.
Once puff pastry has softened, unfold and cut into 6 squares
Layer sliced pears onto puff pastry and brush whisked eggs over the pear and pastry.
Sprinkle sugar mixture all over and place pastries on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Place in oven for 15-17 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Remove once edges are browned and place on cooling rack until ready to serve.
You can serve warm and sprinkle with powdered sugar and/or top with vanilla ice cream, honey, or caramel for a delicious treat.
