The resort is not just a stay, but an experience that encapsulates the spirit of the local people as well as the ultimate tropical leisure. When considering your visit, know that every season has its charm. We visted in January to leave the brisk cold of winter behind, but also because it landed the best for our schedules. The resort and island wasn't overly crowded and the weather was absolutely perfect. We had one day of heavy winds and rain, but other than that it was a perfect sunny and 75. However, research says the best time to visit is to aim for April through May or September through November. These months gerenally allow for the perfect balance of delightful weather and fewer crowds.

Activities at Andaz Maui

From culinary experiences to taking in the local culture Andaz Maui gives an array of acitivies you can take in to make sure you are getting the best experince right at the leisure of your hotel. Some activities come with an additional cost but most are included with your booking. Between laying at the pool and relaxing we only had time to take in 2 different resort activities. We also tried to take on a third with a morning row on a group Outrigger Excursion, however after the storm in the beginning of the week the waters werent calm enough for a group to go out. We were so disappointed and can't wait to retry this excursion the next time we visit to see the beautiful morning sunrise out on the blue Hawaiian ocean. Ukulele Lessons proved to be such a fun, uniquely cultural experience and had my husband strumming an "air ukulele" the whole flight home. We learned about the origins of the ukulele and how it actually came from the Portugese settlers who were brought into Hawaii to help educate on certain local crop & wild life. We both found this story extra intriguing because we happen to be Portuguese ourselves. We also did a Lei Making class where we each created a circle of love for our partners. My lei was left open, as I was pregnant on this trip and they told us the meaning of leaving the lei open is as a welcoming for the baby. Our instructor also added a stem of a flower from my lei and a stem of a flower from my husbands lei tied on each end to symbolize the bond of parents to child. Taking these classes really shared more of the beautiful culture and traditions. We truly enjoyed this added perk that the Andaz includes.

Culinary Delights

At Andaz Maui, every meal is a journey through Hawaii's bountiful produce and rich tastes. Our first night we ate at Morimoto Maui where you can Indulge in iron chef-crafted sushi and fusion dishes. The Ka'ana Kitchen also offers interactive dining with a cooking classes and chef's events connect you to Maui's flavors. Explore the vibrant traditions of Hawaii with this Feast at Mōkapu Lu'au, a unique cultural and culinary event nestled on the lush, iconic lawns of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, just a stone's throw from the picturesque Mokapu Beach. With this travel guide, you're set to navigate the beautifully majestic Hana Highway with insight and Immerse yourself in an adventure that strikes a perfect balance between pulse-pounding excitement and peaceful tranquility.

The Iconic Road to Hana

The Road to Hana is not merely a path woven through the Hawaiian countryside; it's a vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and smells waiting to be discovered. Embark on a journey along this iconic road, where the stunning vistas and profound cultural heritage are poised to make your travel experience both breathtaking and deeply meaningful. Spanning 64 glorious miles from Kahului to Hana, the winding route comprises a seemingly endless series of curves — over 600 in total — and some 59 bridges, with plenty offering just a single lane and one-lane bridges. This ensures your drive is nothing short of an adventure.

If you are only visiting Hana for the day you can embark this journey early, departing at dawn to dodge the delays of heavy traffic and to lend ample time for spontaneous diversions. Key stops like the tranquil Ke‘anae Peninsula, the majestic Waianapanapa State Park with its iconic black sand beach, and the serene Ohe‘o Pools will beckon you to pause and embrace the spirit of Maui.

Bring what you'll need; stock up on food, water, and fuel. The path to Hana offers few amenities we are used to with life on the homeland, and with a car filled with provisions, you'll ensure a voyage that's as carefree as the island breeze. Adventure up the historical Hāna Highway, admiring lush rainforests and astounding ocean views. Visit the arresting Ke‘anae Peninsula for a quiet moment staring out into the vast Pacific. Revel in the wonders of Waianapanapa State Park and its famed black sand beach. Dive into the mythical Pools of Ohe‘o, promising a refreshing end to your journey's exertions. Embarking on the Road to Hana is a thrilling expedition that demands time, respect, and an explorer's heart. With the right preparations and a spirit of adventure, the path will offer rewards far beyond the enchanting town of Hana.

Prepare a checklist of essentials: munchable snacks for the drive, ample water to stay hydrated under the tropical sun, protective sunscreen, insect repellant to ward off unwelcoming bugs, and a first-aid kit for those just-in-case scenarios. Ensure your fuel tank is full, as gas stations are a rarity on this rural road.

Dress comfortably and wear dependable shoes. The Hana Highway will invite you to traverse through diverse terrains. Tread lightly on coastal paths and delve confidently into tropical trails — each step is part of the Hana narrative. With these tips in your travel toolbox, every curve in the road becomes a prelude to the next thrill, each mile an anecdote to recount, ensuring your journey is as rich in memory as it is in vista.

Where to Stay in Hana

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in he picturesque Hana Maui Resort. Hana-Maui Resort is located in Hana town, where guests will find a blend of aloha spirit and coastal charm. This secluded luxury hotel offers travelers a beautiful place to escape on Hawaii’s eastern coast, with proximity to renowned beaches, tropical forests and waterfalls, and the majestic Pacific Ocean. This place was nothing short of a beautiful botanical oasis, filled with lush green surroundings and tranquility. Exacly what you hope for in a relaxing vacation in Paradise. The hotel features very spacious accomadations in bungalows, villas or suites to fit your entire family.  Each bungalow features a terrace with amazing ocean views and a refrigerator with complimentary bottled water. Waikaloa Suites offer a fully equipped kitchen and a TV with cable channels in the living room. We stayed in a bungalow and did not have a tv, which was just fine for us to get in tune with the majestic surroundings. However, if you are a fall-asleep-to-the-tv type of person you may want to opt for a suite to get that perk. The Spa at Hana-Maui Resort offers massages, body treatments, and facials. Two outtdoor pools and hot tubs are provided at this resort. The larger pool down by the ocean bungalows was close to our room and has a bar with full drinks and snacks. Order a Pina Colada for us!! Your stay will also include designated attractions like lei making, coconut painting, golf, tennis and so much more all on the facilities. You are also are a short drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

Beaches to Visit

Some of the most beautiful beaches and landmarks are in Hana but the beauty is truly in enjoying them all! Depending on what adventure you'd most like to take will decide what areas and locations you will like to go and see. Hamoa beach is a world renowned white sand beach and was probably our personal favorite, but we highly recommend visiting the black sand beach as well just for the experiance. The black sand beach is very rocky and the waves are rough so I sat under an umbrella most of the time (being pregnant), and I didnt want to get knocked over by a crashing wave. Scott enjoyed the water and did a small hike on the side of the beach area up the lava rock to get a birds eye view. The beach is small and nestled inside of a State Park, so reservations are required to avoid congestion. Be sure to book ahead of time as well and a fee of $20 will be required.

Where to Eat on the way & in Hana

As you navigate the enchanting Road to Hana, prepare to be captivated by the rich colors and delightful scents on every roadside fruit stands. These local gems are where the island's plentiful harvest truly shines, beckoning travelers to take a moment and indulge in the sweet treasures of the earth. Imagine biting into bananas bursting at the seams with ripeness, savoring succulent mangoes that seem to melt with taste, and discovering the exotic charm of the whimsical dragon fruit, ready to delight your palate. I have never eaten so much fruit on a trip in my life. The deliciuosly large amounts of pineapple I ate had my mouth watering but also a in pain a bit from all the acidic juices that I wasn't used to. I have been craving this amazing fruit everyday since we left, so please eat some extra for me.

These roadside stands are more than pitstops; they are narrative capsules of Maui's agricultural heritage, operated by families who've tended the land for generations. You’ll not just feed your body but nourish your soul with stories of cultivation, tradition, and community. Savor the essence of Hawaii with a selection of tropical fruits, enriching your travel with flavors that are as local as the landscape. Relish the warmth of familial hospitality that is served up with the fresh produce, a charming facet of Hana's small-town life. Delight in homemade treats from these stands, such as banana bread, that add a layer of sweetness to your adventure. By supporting these fruit stands, you're joining the narrative of Hana. You're stepping into its daily rhythm and savoring its fruits, both literal and metaphorical, nestled against the backdrop of lush, natural beauty.

Hana Bowls

One of our favorite morning roadside stands was Hana Bowls, where we stopped for an acai bowl as we departed from Hana and headed to Wailea on a different side of the island. This charming stand was filled with deliciously fresh food and had the most freindly man and woman filled with great spirit. We both got different bowls filled with acai, granola, fresh fruits and honey. This was a perfect healthy morning breakast on the road. Their stand is open Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am to 3 pm its a perfect stop for breakfast, lunch or a snack. The menu includes bowls, smoothies and drinks.

Hana Farms

We visited Hana Farms after spending the afternoon at the Black Sand Beach. They feature a large pizza menu and a roadside market filled with trinkets and snacks. The wood-fired pizza was amazing and made for a perfect spot on the road to refuel. Open 8 am - 6 am daily and dine-in for pizza & salads is 11am - 3:30 pm.

Huli Huli Chicken

We found out about this place from the nicest employee at our hotel. He said its one of the best places to grab lunch when visiting Hamoa Beach. Boy are we So glad we did! This meal was probably my favorite meal of our entire trip and is just a quick grab and sit by the water in a to-go box or to take back to your room. I highly, highly recommend grabbing a meal here! Don't be surprised, however, as this place is not a restaurant and is just a walk up, family bbq, outdoor picnic bench style type of perfection. Their stand became so known worldwide that even Gordon Ramsey visited and gave great reviews to help put them on the map, a clip of it here! Open 11am - 3pm.

Food at Hana-Maui Resort

Our hotel had what we could find was the only sit down restaurant on this part of the island. We ate daily breakfast at the main dining room with so many options it was the perfect way to start our day. We also enjoyed our first meal of the trip at the Hana Ranch Restaurant located just a short walk down the street from the hotel entrance in their new renovated space. Do yourself a favor and be sure to get their Hana Ranch sticky ribs! Another spot to enjoy during the day was by one of the two hotel pools. We loved the bar's pina colada's, virgin for me and regular for Scotty! It made for a relaxing cap to our day after hitting the beaches all afternoon.

The Historic Bridge Crossings

The various bridges along the Road to Hana are chapters in the island's history, scenic interludes that provide picturesque frames for the rushing waterfalls and verdant gullies they span. Each crossing is a statement of endurance and the enduring appeal of a simpler, more rustic Maui. More than 50 bridges, many holding the distinction of single-lane passages, beckon for careful navigation and a sense of bygone adventure. These bridges are not just connectors of land but of experiences, offering uninterrupted sightlines to places where civilization seems to pause. Experience every crossing as a journey through time, where each bridge heralds a history as rich as the views it affords. Embrace the rustic charm of these historic structures and the surprising visual tales they unveil. Check local bridge conditions, particularly during inclement weather, to ensure that each passage remains safe and gratifying. These bridges are not mere structures; they are invitations to the soulful spirit of Hana's ageless allure.

The Welcoming Gateway of Twin Falls

Among the first of many natural wonders on the Road to Hana, Twin Falls sets the stage for an aquatic ballet choreographed by nature itself. Easily accessible, it offers respite and awe without demanding an arduous trek. Here, amid the emerald embrace of the rainforest, you can surrender to the visual symphony of cascades or partake in the cool embrace of the pool's waters. Nearby fruit stands promise to satiate wanderlust with sweet, energizing offerings straight from the island's bosom. With a mere stroll from the parking area, immerse yourself in the tranquility of Twin Falls' surroundings. Replenish your spirit and your senses with a dip in the freshwater pools that beckon with their calm allure. Nourish your journey with nature’s bounty at local fruit stands, enhancing the magic of your Maui adventure. Twin Falls, in its serene grandeur, encapsulates the enchantment of the Hana Highway, promising more splendor, more stories, and more smiles as you wind your way through Maui's heartland.

Cafe Luna - This is a must-stop for breakfast when in Cambridge. Delicious food and worth the wait! Scott had the roasted street corn omelet and I opted for the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both are popular dishes and both are delicious! If you are looking for savory or sweet this is the spot!

Tatte Bakery & Cafe - With locations all over Boston and Cambridge you won't be able to walk down the street and not see a Tatte Bakery... and for good reason too! These spots are as equally delicious as they are adorable. If you are looking for a quick bite or an afternoon coffee this is where you need to go. Don't forget to grab the pistachio croissant.. you'll thank me later!

Making the Most of 3 Days in NOLA - A Guide to Exploring New Orleans

If you’re looking for a unique, historic, and lively vacation spot, look no further than New Orleans, Louisiana. Also known as “NOLA”, this charming city offers a unique and vibrant culture, delicious Creole and Cajun cuisine, and plenty of activities to keep you entertained for days. With the number of attractions and activities in the city, three days in NOLA is the perfect amount of time to get a taste of this magical city. In this blog post, I’ll be sharing the best activities and attractions to check out during your three-day adventure in NOLA.

Spending 3 days in NOLA is an absolute must for any traveler looking to explore the city's unique culture and vibrant atmosphere. A great way to start your NOLA adventure is to admire the architecture of the iconic St. Louis Cathedral, in the heart of the French Quarter in the famous Jackson Square. This 18th-century structure is a symbol of the city’s French and Spanish colonial roots and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. This beautiful and historic church is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. Built-in the late 18th century, it is the oldest cathedral in the United States and the seat of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Inside the Cathedral, visitors will find a beautiful sanctuary, ornate chapels, and a museum dedicated to the history of the church. There is a free guided tour offered every day, as well as daily mass services. It's no wonder that the Saint Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square is a major tourist attraction!

Next, head to the Cabildo and Presbytere, two of the most famous buildings in the French Quarter. Both buildings were constructed in the late 1700s and are now home to the Louisiana State Museum and the Historic New Orleans Collection. As you wander around Jackson Square, take some time to enjoy the street performers, jazz artists, and many other artists who gather there. You can also take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the square for a truly unique guided and informative experience.

No trip to the French Quarter is complete without a visit to the bronze statue of Andrew Jackson and the equestrian statue of General P.G.T. Beauregard. Both statues are a reminder of the city’s rich history and a great photo opportunity. Finally, browse the unique souvenirs, gifts, and artwork at the Jackson Square Art Market. Here you’ll find everything from handcrafted jewelry to local artwork, all of which make great souvenirs.

Bourbon Street

No visit to NOLA is complete without a visit to Bourbon Street, the iconic street that is alive with bars, live music, shops, and energy. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, check out the shops, and listen to all the amazing live music. Next, sample some of the region’s classic and unique cuisine. Enjoy some of the classic Cajun dishes like gumbo and jambalaya, and try some of the seafood options like crawfish and oysters. After dinner, visit a jazz club and experience some of the best jazz music in the country. We went to The Jazz Playhouse after dinner on our first night and enjoyed a show and a cocktail. It was so fun and a must-do! Don't forget to visit some of the other iconic streets, such as Canal Street and Royal Street, and take a riverboat cruise to view the skyline from the water.

Ride the St. Charles Streetcar

A trip to New Orleans wouldn't be complete without hopping aboard the historic St. Charles Streetcar line. This century-old streetcar has been operating continuously since 1835 and is the oldest streetcar in the world. As you travel along the streetcar line, you can enjoy the unique atmosphere and view stunning architecture, beautiful homes in all the neighborhoods, and popular sites such as the Audubon Zoo and the French Quarter.

Live jazz musicians often perform at the streetcar stops, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the ride. Whether you're a local or a tourist, the St. Charles Streetcar is a great way to explore the city and take in the sights. Make sure to take a break and grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink at one of the many restaurants, cafes, and bars along the route. With three days in New Orleans, you can easily make the most of your time by hopping on the St. Charles Streetcar and experiencing the city in a unique and memorable way.

While on the street car stop off at the Garden District with one-of-a-kind neighborhoods, where you can marvel at the grandiose and historic homes from the 19th century. Take a guided tour to learn about the history of the area and see some of the most beautiful Victorian mansions in the country.

Wander the French Quarter

Exploring the charming streets of the French Quarter in New Orleans is a must-do for any traveler. From the vibrant architecture to the quaint courtyards, there is so much to take in and admire. For an unforgettable experience, take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the neighborhood and take in all of the sights and sounds. Spend some time shopping at the open-air French Market where you can find unique art, trinkets, and souvenirs to take home. My favorite shops were the antique shops with beautiful chandeliers and tons of unique pieces! You can also take a look at the many murals and sculptures that adorn the walls and alleys of the French Quarter.

No trip to New Orleans is complete without trying some authentic Creole cuisine. There are many restaurants in the French Quarter that offer amazing food from po’boys to gumbo. You’re sure to find something delicious for your taste buds. The French Quarter is also where the Pharmacy Museum is located and it is a worthy 10$ to see the rich history of the start of the pharmacy and healthcare in Louisiana; past and present

Magazine Street

One of the best places to spend an afternoon in New Orleans is Magazine Street. This iconic New Orleans neighborhood offers six miles of unique shopping, dining, and entertainment. No matter what you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it on Magazine Street. From vintage boutiques and art galleries to cozy cafes and hip bars, the neighborhood has something for everyone. Enjoy a leisurely stroll down the street, and take in all the sights, sounds, and smells of the Big Easy. Whether you’re looking for souvenirs, great food, or a lively atmosphere, you’re sure to find it in this iconic neighborhood.

Vue Orleans

At Vue Orleans, you can also experience the city from a whole new colorful, high-tech perspective. Enjoy spectacular 360° indoor and outdoor observation decks to get a bird's-eye view of the city. From 34 floors above the most storied city in America, you can get a deep dive into the history, music, and culture of New Orleans. Visit the 360° Outdoor Observation Deck, and get one of the best outdoor views of the city, with panoramic views of the Superdome, French Quarter and the Mississippi River. Vue Orleans is the perfect place to experience New Orleans like never before. With its interactive, extremely high-tech cultural experiences, you'll get a comprehensive view of the city and never forget your three days in NOLA.

Where to Stay In New Orleans

If you’re looking to explore the vibrant city of New Orleans, there are plenty of great places to stay and things to do. The French Quarter is the original neighborhood of the city and is filled with historic buildings, quaint cafes, and some of the best restaurants and nightlife. For a more relaxed experience, the Marigny neighborhood provides a residential area with plenty of activities to keep you busy. The Garden District is known for its stately mansions and lush gardens, making it a great area for an upscale experience. Lastly, the Warehouse District is the city’s arts and entertainment hub and a great place to stay if you want to be close to the action.

We stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, which was a chic retreat in NOLA's Central Business District. Just like all Kimpton hotels we have stayed at it was adorable, with the perfect modern decor representative of the city's history. The staff was exceptionally tentative and the restaurants on site had delicious food! Highly recommend this area when in NOLA to stay far enough away from the noise of Bourbon street, but still an easy 15-minute walk to it and the French Quarter. Everything was walkable and you didn't deal with the noise when trying to get a goodnights rest.

Where we ate

No trip to New Orleans is complete without trying some of the most iconic dishes in the city. When we visited NOLA, we made sure to visit Cafe du Monde to try their iconic beignets and a cup of cafe au lait. The atmosphere was great and a perfect way to start the day.

We stayed at The Kimpton Hotel Fontenot and it had a delicious quick-service coffee shop Gospel coffee and boozy treats and sit-down restaurant The PeacockRoom. We ate at both and loved the food, service and convenience of being in our hotel. At The PeacockRoom we ordered the pimento cheese dip and croque madame.

For dinner, we decided to try Meril, which was located on Girod Street. It was highly recommended by my friend for delicious desserts, especially the bread pudding. We were not disappointed! The food was very good, as were the desserts. Portions were a little smaller than most places, so be advised when ordering. We ordered the pinapple upside down cornbread, mexican street corn, korean beef short ribs, and cinnamon toast bread pudding.

After dinner, make a stop at the Carousel Bar for a drink or two. This is a must-experience when down in the French Quarter frequenting Bourbon Street and the French Market. It's a small bar, in an amazing hotel, but just wait for an open seat and sit down for a cocktail before or after dinner! We had the FRENCH 007 and Knob Creek bourbon.

One of our favorite meals was probably at Chemin a la Mer. Located inside the Four Seasons New Orleans. This location gave a beautiful view of the Mississippi river and had the most delicious French-inspired food. They are open all day and next to the Vue Orleans so lunch was a perfect time to visit and then pop over to see the Vue. We ordered the seasonal beet salad, the grackle burger and lamb shoulder roulade.

Have a taste-off between Beignet's at Café Du Monde and Café Beignet

When visiting New Orleans, no trip is complete without experiencing the classic local treat, the beignet (with extra powdered sugar)! Two iconic locations make it easy to satisfy that craving: Café Du Monde and Café Beignet.

At Café Du Monde, visitors can experience the classic beignet with a cup of their world-famous chicory coffee. This café has been around since 1862 and is a local favorite. Plus, the outdoor seating is the ideal spot for people-watching and soaking up the culture of the city. Café Beignet also offers a wide variety of beignets in flavors such as blueberry, strawberry, and more. Plus, visitors can enjoy their beignets with a hot mug of coffee or a cold glass of lemonade. No matter where you go, beignets are the perfect accompaniment to your New Orleans experience. It was fun to try them both and compare them while also experiencing the classic flavor and culture of the city in a bite with beignets in both of these two iconic locations!

Hope this blog post helps you plan the best 3 days in NOLA. We truly enjoyed our trip and I know you will too! Here are a few other Travel Guides I know you will love as well:

Paso Robles City Guide

With over 20,000 visitors yearly its no wonder Paso Robles wine and food scene is becoming so popular. Me and the hubs love to visit often and enjoy the amazing wine, views and award-winning restaurants! We lived less than 2 hours away and would try to stop at a new winery when we pass through on our way to the beach house! Recently moving to Texas the Paso Robles wine country is one of the biggest things I am missing about California travel. Growing more than 40 varieties of wine you can always find the most delicious wine to take home too! Below I’ll share our favorite wineries, restaurants, where to stay and other things to do around the area.

Wineries & Wine Tasting

These are our favorite places to go wine tasting with quick reasons why. We have been going to Paso Robles tasting for over 10 years and our goal was to try them all.. we ended up moving out of California this year so this goal may take a little longer then we had hoped for but out of the MANY we have tried these are ones we continue to order wine from and still love to visit! (This are not in order by favorites, these are all our favorites and each experience is different so read through and see what you are looking for in a winery.)

Austin Hope: Top 5 for all around experiences. Delicious charcuterie boards, beautiful architecture, amazing wine, and allow dogs! We sat outside in a cozy little area, we loved that each tasting spot felt secluded to you own group yet special. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. More info: https://hopefamilywines.com/

Justin Winery: Some of our favorite wines, gorgeous location, food is AMAZING and they also have a tasting room downtown Paso if you don't want to make the drive to their winery. I highly recommend it though because the experience is beautiful with outdoor seating. Be sure to order some Justification for us with a juicy burger!! Dogs are also welcome outside. More info: https://www.justinwine.com/

Thatcher Winery: We walked into this family-owned winery one afternoon and loved the adorable space, delicious wines and views of wild turkeys running around the vines. For a more in depth tasting and one on one experience you can book a stable tasting as well! More info: https://www.thatcherwine.com/

Parrish Family Vineyard: An absolutely stunning location!! Home concept tasting room helps everyone feel at home while they enjoy their wine. Also serving Sunday brunch, pairing foods and a gorgeous outside seating area that the whole family can enjoy! More info: https://www.parrishfamilyvineyard.com/

Daou: One of the most stunning views in all of Paso! Delicious charcuterie boards make for a great afternoon stop to enjoy the views and really enjoy the rolling hills of Paso Robles. More info: https://daouvineyards.com/

Chronic Cellars: Fun & Chill vibe! They have some delicious wine and a glass comes with your tasting! We actually grabbed this wine last night at our local Whole Foods here in Texas. A great price point for a quick grab or as they say a "weekday wine". More info: https://www.chroniccellars.com/

AmByth Estate: Such a fun winery with animals that are maintaining the land, giving the Biodynamic farming for the most natural way to produce wine. It was truly fascinating to do a tour around the estate-grown farm and see the animals & vineyard and to hear all about how they grow and produce on their farm. More info: https://www.ambythestate.com/

Tablas Creek Vineyard: Known for bringing Rhone wine to California this winery is a perfect place to come for all! Fans of both red & whites will both be happy here! They have tastings options with all white, all red or a mix. This gets a top rating for wine from us! More info: https://tablascreek.com/

Booker: This will definitely win for ambiance.. and its not just because of the adorable winery pup that is always at the tasting room! To truly see why this wins ambiance you have to head to my Instagram highlights under "Paso Wine" and see the attention to detail in this one. The wine was as delicious as the architecture as well! More info: https://www.bookerwines.com/

Bodega de Edgar: Rhone & Spanish style wines right in California! Staff was very friendly, wine was amazing and you have choice of outside or inside tastings. Great relaxed style of wine tasting. More info: https://www.bodegadeedgar.com/

Calcareous Vineyard: If you are looking for a spot with great wine, incredible views and amazing food? This is it! A great place for even those non wine drinkers in your group to really take in Paso while having an incredible lunch. More info: https://www.calcareous.com/

Castoro Cellars: Great location for a stop while wine tasting. Organic & Estate grown wines. They also allow you to bring in your own food. Makes for a great place if you want to bring in a box lunch from Vivant Cheese (I talk more about this below) More info: https://castorocellars.com/

Linne Calodo Cellars: A beautiful boutique style winery that has some truly amazing wine. They aren't a wine you will find on a shelf or on the menu at your local restaurant so be sure to buy online or on your tasting trip. Also make sure you make a reservation at this one as the times they are open can change. Well worth the appointment ahead of time! More info: https://linnecalodo.com/

Where to Enjoy a Meal

Thomas Hill Organics: One of the most deliciously prepared meals with unexpected ingredients you may never think to order. With farm-to-table local ingredients as well as an ever changing menu its one of our top favorites for sure! Make sure to make a reservation its always packed. If you happen to go during colder months request a table by the fire it makes for a wonderful experince!

Vivant Fine Cheese: We found this place a few years ago after getting a wine and cheese pairing at Daou. They told us the store in town where we could get one of the cheeses we loved and we have been coming back ever since! Everything we have gotten from here has been so amazing! I highly recommend getting a picnic box and taking it to one of your wineries if they don't serve food.

Les Petites Canailles: Incredible is the first word that comes to mind! Deliciously amazing food and if you haven't had enough wine yet the selection here is huge! Highly recommend making a reservation here as they are always packed and like a lot of places in Paso its small and intimate inside. Don't skip on the dessert either. My husband usually never wants to get dessert and I always do. We ordered one here and he was in love!

Finca: Looking for somewhere quick or to go? Finca is a perfect little spot right down from the Mercantile that is an adorable Market Walk. Food at Finca is fresh Baja/Mexican style food that is a great go to! We took my in-laws here and the next time they drove through Paso they stopped by again! (I think they liked it!!)

Fish Gaucho: Delicious sit down modern Mexican. Full bar and delicious Guacamole are sure to make this a great stop on your trip!

Lastly.. Negranti Creamery for a quick ice cream dessert on your way back to your hotel!

Where to Stay In Paso Robles

After all that food and wine you might want to know where to rest that sleepy and maybe a bit buzzy head!

Paso Robles Hotels:

Allegretto: A gorgeous hotel with so many wonderful amenities. A wine tasting room, delicious restaurant, cabanas by the pool, large fitness center, complementary bikes and the most comfortable beds!

Hotel Cheval: We haven't stayed at this hotel however it is absolutely adorable and last time we were in town we walked inside to get a feel for it. In a great downtown location perfect to walk to dinner. Is a boutique style so be sure to book this one early as availability is limited.

Stables Inn: We also haven't styed at this location but we did drive by on our last visit as well. I also have it saved on an Instagram tab to stay at on our next time we visit. A 19-room boutique style hotel is in another great location and has a super cute Western chic vibe.

Local Vacation Rentals are also a great way to stay around Paso with many beautiful homes in walking distance to downtown. As well as some wineries having small availability/bed and breakfast style stays. Many of these are only available for wine members so check online at your favorites to see if they have this available as well!

Other things to do that don't involve wine:

Craft Beer & Cider Tasting: With many great local breweries you will find a place for those non wine drinkers in the group. Some of our favorites are in Tin City including; firestone walker, barrel house, and other great little places to stop at.

Distillery Trail: As you journey along the Paso Robles and SLO Distillery Trails, you’ll taste one of a kind spirits and meet the individuals behind the bottle as they work passionately and artfully to create exquisite brandy, whiskey, gin, vodka, liquors and grappa. For more info on distilleries click -here-.

Take a Day Trip: Other great things to do around Paso Robles are the beautiful Central Coast. We of course are partial to Morro Bay, you can see my guide -here-. However many other beautiful coastal towns are just 30ish minutes away and worth the drive to get to your destination.

Antique Shopping Downtown: Downtown is filled with adorable antique shops in between the restaurant. You can make an entire afternoon around this square.

Mid State Fair: If you plan your trip to Paso Robles in line with the Mid State Fair you will be sure to find some of the best concerts in the United States. Full of amazing singers, great eats, lots of rides, and animals!

Paso Robles Mercantile: The cutest indoor shopping center full of little boutique store, cheese shops, wine tasting, ice cream and so much more. Every time we go to this stop with someone new they love it! You will too!

Field of Light at Sensorio: This is a beautiful night light show in a Paso Robles field. Showing incredible views of Paso and the rolling hills in a whole new way. I suggest going before sun sets so you can get the whole effect. Also make sure you have a jacket it gets cool at night.

What to Pack/wear:

Paso Robles is a great town full of all types of styles. I of course am a little partial to wearing dresses, so a nice light weight dress with a sweater or coat is perfect. Even in summer Paso Robles can tend to get cool at nights so I highly recommend taking some type of jacket just incase. In January and February I do tend to wear jeans and layers... however you could tend to get warm days. So my biggest recommendation on what to pack and wear is layers! Here are a few of my favorite looks from wine tasting. You can also shop my LTK -here- and search Paso Robles or Wine Tasting to see some of my past outfits and shop them as well.

There you have our city guide to Paso Robles, CA! Hope you enjoy the beautiful countryside and have a sippin’ good time! Let me know below if you have a favorite place I didn't mention below. I am always looking for new places to try!

Have A Blessed Day, Amanda

Morro Bay Travel Tips

I have to admit I have emotionally put this blog post off for the last few months because it makes me feel a little bitter sweet about all the memories we had in Morro Bay. Now that we live in Texas we probably wont be visiting this beautiful little beach town much if at all. The memories are fond and our beach house was such a blessing and a beautiful time in our lives that I’m so thankful we had for a few years.

If you are new around here my husband and I had a beach house in Morro Bay, CA for over 2 years. At one point we thought we would move there from our little home town that was 2 hours away. Life changed and so did our plans. We decided to flip the script and moved to Texas instead in May of this year. Even though we sold our home in Morro Bay, we are keeping the memories we built there for a lifetime!

I have received so many questions about things to do, places to eat (especially that are dog friendly) and towns to visit nearby. So I want to offer you this as a “locals” perspective. I grew up visiting Morro Bay many times a year along with the surrounding areas. Then when we had our house I would spend at least 1 week a month if not more at this charming beach town.

Many people ask why we chose this town over the other surrounding nearby beaches. I grew up coming here, my grandparents had a home and we would visit often. Scotty’s grandparents had a place in Pismo Beach, which is just a little south on the coast line but is always bustling and busy. This brings us to the biggest reason we chose Morro Bay, for the small town quiet, peaceful vibe of it most days. The Embarcadero area does get busy during weekends, but go on a week day or on the off season and its just a charming little town full of locals and vacation homeowners. Its a little cooler here and has more moody weather that the surrounding towns, like sometimes a stiff wind when walking the beach. This means the beaches are never usually packed. We aren’t very big lay on the beach all day people anyway, so this made for the perfect place for us to just simply walk with our dog everyday. Lastly, we wanted this area because it was somewhere we could see ourselves living.

Favorite Things To Do:

  1. Walk on the dog beach - Our favorite thing to do and a daily MUST! We would go every single day with our pup and she absolutely loved it. An off leash beach that she can run along in the water and sand and enjoy life to the fullest. Bonus we got to get our exercise in as well.

  2. Strolling along the Embarcadero - the downtown are where all the shopping, eats and fun things to do are! Also the best spot to see sea otters and sea lions.

  3. Kayak - Along the Embarcadero you will see lots of watersports and rental things to do. We went kayaking a few times and loved being in the water and around all the seals. Its a beautiful little area to see from another view on kayak’s. They also have great whale watching, paddleboarding, and many other attractions.

  4. Get on a boat - Another water activity we loved! We rented a pontoon boat from -bay cruisers- when my cousins visited one weekend and it was so much fun! You can take your own drinks and food and ride around the Embarcadero area. It moves slow and is perfect for kids.

  5. Take a Hike - There are countless hiking trails around Morro Bay that allow for great adventures. Some of our favorites with the most magnificent views are: Montana De Oro State Park - Bluff Trail, Marina Peninsula Trail, Cloisters Wetland, and Harmony Headlands State Park.

  6. Golf - Morro Bay has one of the most beautiful golf courses that overlooks the water and makes for one our favorite activities on a weekend in Morro Bay.

  7. Take a Day Trip - Some of our favorite places to go near by are Paso Robles (see my blog post here for more on Paso), Cambria, Cayucos, Avila Beach, Arroyo Grande, and Pismo Beach

Favorite Eats :

  1. Flavor Factory - Delicious burgers, sandwiches, fries and specializes in the most amazing desserts. I might rate this one the best cheesecakes we have ever had! They are all made fresh and so good. Must try!

  2. Sea Shanty - Amore’s favorite BY FAR! If you are looking for somewhere to go with your pup. Head up the road to Cayucos and enjoy a patio seating where Dog’s are treated just as good as people (if not better)! They have blankets for your pup to lay on, dog bowls for water, treats, and an entire dog menu. Amore loves the Hamburger and rice! The food they serve for us humans is just as delicious! If you order dessert, the Swamp Pie is my favorite. One night driving into town I ordered this 2 minutes before they closed so I could pickup before we got to our house. I jumped out of the truck as Scott pulled up and grabbed it as they were cleaning the kitchen. Its that good!!

  3. The Hidden Kitchen - The adorable location isn’t the only thing keeping me coming back to this spot! Healthy, fresh produce, organic and 100% gluten free makes this a great spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch!

  4. High Tide - Looking for a sandwich or acai bowl? This is your spot! Absolutely delicious, quick service and in a great location on Morro Bay Blvd. Its also outside seating if you want somewhere your pup can come with you! Perfect to eat and shop the vintage stores down the strip.

  5. Dorn’s - One of my Mom’s favorite restaurants! On our last week in Morro Bay my Mom had a list of places she wanted to visit, and this was at the top of the list! I grew up going here for brunch every time we came to Morro Bay and still love their breakfast. If you are heading here for dinner get ready for the freshest warm bread! This is by far the best place you can eat around the Embarcadero. It over looks the water and Morro Rock.

  6. Umi Sushi & Sake - If you are looking for sushi, this is your spot! Another one on the Embarcadero and very delicious!! Highly recommend. Spicy Edamame & Angry Lobster Roll were our favorites!

  7. Taco Temple - The best Mexican food in Morro Bay.. and we tried them all! They have the freshest seafood. Last time we went they said they had caught our cod fish for tacos just 2 hours before. You cant get any fresher then that friends! They also have outside seating for those with furry friends.

  8. La Parisienne - Delicious Cookies & Baked goods! The Almond Chocolate Chip was a family favorite!

I cant give an honest review on hotels & places to stay because we never stayed at any. There are tons of campgrounds and great hotels through the town! If you aren't far make it a Morro Bay day trip! We have stayed at hotels in San Luis Obispo and our favorites are Madonna Inn ( also a favorite place to eat!!) and the Kinney SLO.

Hope this article helps on your next trip to Morro Bay and the Central Coast at least in terms of the important stuff…what to do and where to eat haha. Its a favorite place of ours and will always hold a special place in our hearts! Head to my Instagram to see all my stories from the times in Morro Bay. I have more Videos & Photos from everything we have done there.

If you have more questions on anything please leave them in the comments below. Until next time..

Nashville Travel Guide

Looking for a quick trip to a stylish musical town full of energy and life? Look no further then Nashville! Its a fun-filled town with of so many great music venues featuring live music, great restaurants, hotels, bars, history and places to shop! You honestly cant go wrong with so much to choose from …but here were all my favorites!

Where To Stay: Kimpton Aertson Hotel

You already know I am a HUGE Kimpton fan! So as soon as they opened their new spot in Nashville I had it on my bucket list of places to visit and stay! After our stay I was once again reminded why I do LOVE Kimpton Hotels! The staff was amazing, rooms were amazingly hip and they of course had all the amenities you could ever need! (hotel spa, great restaurant and Bar, gym, wine hour, coffee and hot cocoa in the morning and valet)

What To Do:

Nashville is full of so many fun things to do and music to see everywhere!! These are the things we enjoyed the most and would do again one day and highly recommend if you’re planning a trip here soon! I am listing them in order of what we liked the most incase you don’t have time to do it all and have to prioritize.

THE GRAND OLE OPRY

I loved going to the famous historic Opry venue on night one so much that we decided to go again on the last night we were in Nashville for a benefit concert! If you are a short girl like me who normally hates going to concerts because everyone is taller then you then this is the type of concert venue you want. Everyone sits for pretty much the whole concert, enjoys the music and it seems so much more intimate then huge sports venues. I also love that so many talented musicians that may or may not be household names yet are nightly regulars there and they often have hit new songs you’ve on the radio!

THE LISTENING ROOM

Another great experience was the listening room. Its an extremely intimate venue with food and drinks and most everyone is so close that they are literally be right next to the stage. Here you are listening to lesser known but totally talented artists or songwriters who are sharing their music. Could be a number one hit, something they just wrote today or a song you’ll hear on the radio in a few years. They have different artists every night and its a fun setting that really gets you to experience the music. We had the pleasure of seeing 3 different singers sharing the stage and taking turns playing their songs and incorporating their musical and life journey along the way with the crowd.

VISITING THE SUBURB OF FRANKLIN

If you are up for a day trip I 100% recommend heading to the quaint town of Franklin about 20 minutes outside of Nashville. Its an adorable little historic town with the cutest shopping, great restaurants, coffee shops and so much charm! We met the nicest people working in the downtown stores and had the nicest conversations with them. We decided to eat breakfast at Biscuit Love here and after shopping around town we headed just to the edge of town and got to do one of our favorite vacation activities with some wine tasting at the beautiful winery Arrington Vineyards.

GOO GOO CLUSTERS

If you want the original American candy makers this is the spot. Goo Goo Clusters was the first candy making company to actually put more than 1 other ingredient into their chocolate candies. Everything was delicious and they have an area in the back of the factory where you can create your own goo goo candies and listen to some great goo goo history which makes it a family fun stop right next to Broadway!

RYMAN AUDITORIUM

You can see artists perform at this famous historic venue or just simply do a daily tour. We decided to just do the tour being the shows didn’t fit into our schedule. The tour was so cool and the building is so beautiful. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours also happens to be right next to Broadway.

THE PARTHENON

This was a mile from our hotel so we decided to do as a morning walk with coffee to explore more of the city. Once you arrive at the Parthenon they have a QR code on the ground you can scan to have a guided online free tour and learn more about the structures history. Beautiful to see and inside of a the gorgeous Centennial Park.

THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

This was another morning walk for us to get some exercise and the best way to see the city downtown skyline views from across the bridge and across the river leading to their NFL team football stadium. If you are at all like my husband then seeing any pro stadium within reach of any trip we take is a must! There are multiple bridges to see along a flowing river that leads to some beautiful views

BROADWAY STREET

Probably the most popular thing to do in Nashville! It is a must do but at the bottom of my list just because one day of the partying was enough for me. I highly recommend bar hopping all the famous bars like Tootsie’s. I’m sure if you are here for a bachelorette party or with friends Broadway would be where everyone spends most of their time! Every bar had a different vibe and there was lots of live music at every one. I suggest just popping into them all and seeing if you like the crowd and ordering a drink if you do. If you don’t go to the next one, you are sure to find a spot you love! I don’t really recommend eating anywhere near Broadway but I’ll share all my favorite places to eat below!

Where To Eat:

The real reason I love going on vacation AND can totally make or break a trip for me.. just ask my husband how my mood can change with a great meal! The first day of Nashville I was pretty sad we hadn’t had anything that delicious, but come day 2 I was a much happier traveler! Here are my favorites from the trip listed in order of my favorites!

BARCELONA WINE BAR

Amazingly delicious Spanish tapas! Every single thing we got was delicious, fresh and was one of my favorite meals!! I would recommend a reservation here but you will mostly likely be okay getting in with a small wait. We went mid week and it was PACKED. We got a small bite and wine at the bar for our 30 min wait and it was perfect!

BAR TACO

We love bar taco! They have them all over the East Coast and I highly recommend going if you are ever near one! We have loved every variety of taco we’ve eaten, and their side dishes and guac and chips is amazing. Also the drinks (margs) are always so fresh! If we both had to pick one thing you must get it’s the Glazed Pork Belly tacos for sure! We both said we could eat them every single day and not get tired of them! I kind of want one right now..

BISCUIT LOVE

This was a top pick on all the blogs I read and I can see why! Biscuits galore and drinks were also amazing! Everyone said to get the Bonuts so we did and they were a delicious desert to add to our breakfast! They have several locations all over Nashville and one in Franklin. We went to the one in Franklin during our day exploring and loved the charming house they redid.

FIVE DAUGHTERS BAKERY

The most delicious donuts you will eat! They are also all over town so you honestly cant miss it! I highly recommend the maple bacon donut! DELISH!

HENLEY

Perfect location because it was at our hotel! However, almost every single Kimpton hotel we have been to has had the most delicious restaurants. I always love to order room service at least one day on vacation because that means I get to sleep in! HAHA! Loved the brunch we had. Delicious avocado toast!

THE PHARMACY

Great burgers and beer garden featuring some unique European beers. All the burgers are delicious and make sure you get the tots YOU WONT regret it! Loved that they had spiked milkshakes also, so fun and delicious!

THE WHITE LIMOZEEN

We only had drinks here so I can only speak to that but they were YUM! The atmosphere was also worth even just going for a cocktail! Super cute for a girls night! Recommend reservations they book out quick and start only 2 weeks ahead of the date.

HATTIE B’S

This is a MUST if you visit because HOT CHICKEN. Everything was super delicious and when I say everything.. we ordered pretty much the whole menu. We had this first night when we arrived and hadn’t eaten all day. So our eyes were totally bigger then our stomach but we loved getting to try it all!

A weekend in Tampa Bay

Ended our week long road trip around Florida in Tampa Bay! It made for a great weekend of exciting sports, delicious food, and a wonderfully comfortable stay. We mostly visited Tampa to see their baseball team the Ray’s play the Red Sox on our quest to see all 30 baseball stadiums. This stadium trip made for our 21st! It was also a playoff game which made for a great rowdy crowd. Along with watching the game We also really enjoyed driving around the different areas of the city and seeing all the beautiful homes (especially in Hyde Park and on Davis Island). Hyde Park also has an adorable outdoor shopping area ful! of great upscale shopping and restaurants.

We stayed at The Karol Hotel which was the perfect logistical location between the baseball stadium and the bridge into downtown Tampa. Such a clean and beautiful hotel with all the perfect perks you cold ever need. They had chic rooms with coffee machines for those relaxing mornings and a nice gym that makes Scotty very happy! Located on the water for beautiful views! I absolutely loved that they had a rooftop bar with excellent views across the bay into downtown Tampa to enjoy as well as the most delicious restaurant. I cant tell you enough how delicious it was!! We ordered the cheese tray, grouper piccata, braised short rib and two lovely glasses of wine. Everything was delicious.

We got great advice on a historic restaurant to eat at in town called Columbia Restaurant that was the most highly recommended place on all the blogs and research I did. They have several locations in town with, the original being in the historic Ybor district (another fun place to see and hangout!). We ordered everything off the menu that was highlighted in “red” as being their highly recommended items and it was all so good!

Tampa is filled with many cute shopping and eating spots to hangout and tons of delicious restaurants! We really loved our relaxing end of the trip and seeing Tampa play Boston in the first post season series for the year. Do you have any favorite spots in Tampa? Be sure to leave them below for everyone to see. I know there is so much more we didn’t have time to see and cover in 2 quick days!

Charleston, South Carolina City Guide

We just got back from our southern style vacation and I quickly already find myself looking up real estate prices in Charleston! Its definitely a new favorite for me and Scotty with all its history, classic charm, and amazing eats! So lets break down where we stayed, ate, and show you all the fun activities we did! I hope when you visit you fall in love with this place just as much as we did!

Where we stayed:

Hotel Emeline

The cutest boutique hotel perfectly positioned in the middle of downtown Charleston. This great stay added to the love I have for this city. It had the classic architecture, the cutest rooms, lobby, coffee shop and restaurant! This hotel had everything you need and MORE! Highly recommend staying here for the great location alone. We walked everywhere downtown and didn’t need our car until we went to dinner at Sullivan’s Island and toured the town’s plantations. Be sure when you book this place you also get a reservation at their own restaurant Frannie and the Fox !(i'‘ll share more in restaurants recs!!) To book your stay head over to their website -here-.

Where to eat: (in order of how we ate it)

Leon’s Oyster Shop - This renovated old gas station was the most requested place to eat in all my online research. Also a great hangout place to grab a drink on a Sunday Fun day! If you love many different types of oysters, then this is your place! We don’t eat oysters often but had them because its the #1 food item recommended..and when in Rome?? What we ordered: Char-Grilled Oysters, Fried Chicken and Smoked Mahi Dip.

The Obstinate Daughter - A must when you cross the bridge into Sullivan’s Island jut outside of Charleston. We made the pretty drive over the water after our photos on night one! Was also highly recommended on my research and was one of our photographers favorites. Highly recommend getting a reservation before because this place gets packed. Being this was a last minute trip I was a little late but checked the day before to see if they had cancellations and was lucky enough to be able to get in. What we ordered: Roasted Beets (AMAZING!), Ricotta Gnocchi (best Gnocchi I have had with short ribs on top!), Five Fathom Hole Pizza.

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits - Perfect place to grab a quick breakfast! We got them from the downtown location by our hotel after our morning walk around town. So many options and all made fresh in house! We ordered one of almost every biscuit with different jams and the classic southern pimento cheese spread (which was my favorite!)

For 15% off your order at Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits online use code “AMANDA15”

5Church Charleston - WOW! This location is beyond gorgeous (on Market street). It’s literally a completely renovated beautiful old Church with so much gorgeous detail. HIGHLY recommend getting reservations here it was packed! Brunch, Lunch and Dinner are all offered here with a full bar! What we ordered: Daily Charcuterie, Spring Salad, Handmade Braided Ravioli (SO DARN GOOD!), 9oz Filet, and Cronuts (YUM!). Not sure they have anything bad on the menu after this spread.. it was all so good!!

Frannie and the Fox - this was our hotel restaurant and a top pick online too! If you are looking for somewhere to have breakfast… do yourself a favor and get the pancakes.. not sure if its overly dramatic to say but these were the best pancakes I had ever had! So good that I was telling Scotty the next day I wanted to stop trying other places and just have pancakes again!!

Millers All Day - Last but certainly not least! Such an adorable place to grab breakfast or lunch and oh so delicious!! Highly recommend making reservations! A perfect place to go when shopping up and down the famous King Street! What we ate: pimento cheese plate, millers smash burger (must get!!), Club, homefries, and of course coconut cream pie!

What we did:

Photoshoot - This probably wont be the top of your list.. but as a blogger content photos are important, plus its just so fun to have photos taken when your in a new town that you can use for Christmas cards and to look back on! I highly recommend Rebecca see her work -here-. Having an amazing photographer is also a great way to learn more about the city and little spots you may never normally see. She was basically the best tour guide and photographer.

Plantations - Highly recommend doing multiple plantations on your visit! The important history of plantations is so interesting and of course unique to the South and in particular this part of the country. These amazing properties are quite the thing to see. The plantations are all outside of the downtown area so you’re going to be in your car driving, so we also went to..

Magnolia plantation and gardens - lots of greenery and garden areas to walk around and see.

Middleton place - a large running farm with animals and areas with people working and ready to talk to you about their craft and the plantation/history itself.

Boone Hall Plantation - Large area, you can go into the main house, they have a restaurant and lots of information/videos going to learn more about it history.

Mcleod Plantation - A last minute plantation visit out of town. Lots of area to walk and see but not much else. Would recommend this only if you are looking for more to do. The top 3 are our favorites.

Morning Walks - The best part of vacations is exploring! We did this in our morning walks and saw the town before the tourists were up and all around. We walked to the pineapple fountain, rainbow row, waterfront park and high battery park.

Thank you for tagging along and exploring the world with us! We love sharing our travels and hope to help you experience the world more beautifully. Let me know if you go to any of our recommendations and how you enjoyed them!

Savannah, Georgia City Guide

We were so excited we got the chance to visit Savannah on our recent trip to Georgia! Driving up the coastline from Charleston made Savannah our 3rd stop on our getaway but the 1st stop in the Peach state! There was more than enough charm, history, culture, and live music to see but we took it pretty easy here and enjoyed the beauty of our hotel along the river front area! Here’s where we stayed, ate and played in the 48 hrs we were in Savannah!

Where we stayed:

River Street Inn - a 200 year hotel located on River Street. Its been remodeled and updated but still has all the beauty and charm that the long history has provided it with! The building was originally constructed to serve the needs of the cotton industry and gives you access to both sides of River Street. River street makes for a perfect waterfront stroll with great views of the towns famous Ferry boats along with massive cargo ships and recreational boats. Along with the great views the street walk is full of great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and live music.

Where we ate:

Little Duck Diner - A cute spot right in the heart in the heart of downtown serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. What we ordered: Little Duck in Paris (French toast meal), Chicken and Waffles, Lavender Bubble Bath Bellini (so delicious and comes with a rubber ducky perfect for a cute pic!)

The Olde Pink House - Far and away the #1 recommended place online to eat and for good reason! It was an amazing experience with great food and beauty! HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation over 2 months ahead of time! We planned this trip 2 weeks before and couldn’t get one. However if you arrive at 4:45 they can put you on a wait list to eat in the Tavern or Bar. We arrived at 4:20 because I reallllly wanted to make sure we could get in. We wanted to eat in the Tavern basement because it gives you more of an experience. They only let the first 8 people in line in and then you wait on a list for openings the rest of the night. Luckily we were #3 and #4 so we got in at 5 and had a lovely meal! After we ate we got to walk upstairs to see the rest of the renovated old mansion where you needed reservations for and in my opinion the Tavern basement was even better then upstairs inside! They did have seating at tables too in the Tavern so if you make a reservation maybe recommend the Tavern. What we ordered: Pink Lady, Mac & Cheese Jalapeno Poppers, “BLT” Salad (One of the best salads and featured on tv show The best thing I ever ate), Caramelized Vidalia Onion & Sweet Potato Ravioli, Grilled Port Tenderloin, and of course dessert the basket (which was AMAZING and you have to order and send me a picture because OMG!!!)

Collins Quarter - 2 locations in Savannah with one downtown and one in the middle of the famous Forsyth park that is gorgeous! We ate at the park location and took in the views on a great walk after brunch. What we ate: Pork Belly Beni, Park Brisket Burger (another great burger!), Duchess of Cambridge (yummy cocktail!)

Savannah’s Candy Kitchen -

they have a location on River street! So many goodies but do not forget to get the gopher! It’s so good that we even brought some home to enjoy!

What we did:

Savannah is a little more spread out so if you are wanting to see more of the historical sites I would suggest doing a hop on hop off city tour or having a car to see more.

Savannah Banana’s - A local minor league baseball team that is all over ESPN and YouTube for the comical show they put on while playing ball! Legends such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Hank Aaron, Ty Cobb and Jackie Robinson all played on this field in their early days!

Cathedral Basilica of St. John The Baptist - The first building in Georgia of brick and 81 stained glass windows and. Constructed in 1834 it is absolutely beautiful and open to the public. They do have daily Mass and the schedule is on their website.

River Street - Walking down river street is an experience! Lots of shops, restaurants and places to grab a drink while you walk (because you can drink in public on the streets in Savannah!).

Thanks for tagging along on our Savannah adventure. Let us know below where we should head to next!

Yellowstone Road Trip From California

7 states, 10 days and over 3,000 miles!! One big loop from California on our adventure to Yellowstone and back! It was such a fun filled trip with lots of scenic stops along the way. You may or may not be coming from California, but whatever way you’re coming from these stops were all so fun that I wanted to share them all with you…especially the places we ate and where we stayed along the way!! So let’s go!!

public.jpeg

First Stop: RENO, NEVADA

We had about 24hrs in Reno and didn’t even need to leave out hotel/casino once. Staying at the Peppermill gave us everything we were looking for in a quick fun filled relaxing day. We loved every minute of it. The Peppermill has so many different restaurants, a spa, a gym bigger then most, a fancy pool, and lots and lots of gambling!! As soon as we checked in we headed to eat lunch at their Oceano Seafood restaurant. So delish! I had a salmon salad, Scotty got the Mixed Seafood Ramen and we shared edamame and a delish roll! After lunch we had a spa date in the Hotel for massages that were so relaxing!! Dinner was at their Romanza Italian restaurants where we shared the pasta trio and steak, along with and a delicious bottle of Duckhorn wine. Prepping ourselves for the Longest stretch of driving we’d be doing the next day of driving called for room service breakfast and a quick workout. Breakfast was also amazing and the staff at Peppermill were so friendly and attentive! Highly recommend staying here if you are heading to Reno (fun fact, Scotty’s grandparents always stayed at the peppermill when they use to travel to Reno. So sweet!)

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Second Stop: BOZEMAN, MONTANA

I already talked all about this hip little mountain town on my Bozeman post so I wont bore you again. Head to the blog post -here- to see more info!

Third Stop: YELLOWSTONE

Short hour and a half drive to the North entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We chose to stay in Bozeman for lodging instead of in the Park because it was an off season for their hotels and employees. We pre planned a map of our travel path through the park and tried to research if any roads would be closed along the way. Most of our planned stops we got to see, however, we had to do them in a bit of a different driving order because of some unforeseen closures. When you pull up to the Park the Rangers will tell you where you can and cannot go. If you power through the Park in a day like we did you can still have plenty of time to pull over, take plenty of pics, and do the quick hikes around some of the famous springs, falls, etc. We planned stops in Mammoth Hot Springs, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the Yellowstone Lake, the Grand Purismatic, Morning Glory, and of course the famous Old Faithful Geyser. However, along the drive there are so many perfect turn offs that you could stop for a scenic picture or for a potential animal sighting. We actually stopped with a group to see what their excitement was and got saw a grizzly bear in the wild across the street and up the hillside just about 100 yards away from us. The park is so full of different vibrant colors and peaks and valleys and Rivers and Falls and amazing Springs that we have yet to see in any of our past travels to National Parks. This place is a must visit in your lifetime to unwind and take in the beauty of Mother Nature.

Stop Four: JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING

This cute little ski town village is a MUST stop when on this trip. Full of charm and beauty nestled right alongside the mountain with lots of cute spots to eat, shop and drink! Biggest tip I can give you on this one is.. a good part of the businesses in town basically close down during their “off season” so if you are wanting this to be a main attraction for your trip don’t come during the months April or November. We of course went during April so a lot was closed but we still got to shop and eat at a couple of the cutest and most popular restaurants. Dinner at Gather in Jackson Hole was delicious. We shared pork buns, red wine marinated bison and pork belly fried rice. Everything was really good but portions were smaller then we expected (just to prepare you) I wont complain tho because that left room for dessert! Their best local ice cream spot is Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream where the flavors change throughout the year and they have signature local favorites like wild huckleberry, which was delicious!

Day two we went and visited the beautiful Grand Teton’s and explored the roads that were open throughout the village of Moose. Unfortunately, even though we gave it some time pulling over and parking in the moose habitat, we didn’t actually see one. Still though, the drive was so worth it and lead us to some great pics for memories. Before starting our Tetons day we ate at the famous Cafe Genevieve’s. A perfect little place for breakfast or Lunch and a must stop when in Jackson Hole! We both had two different varieties of delicious egg’s benedicts. We made sure to eat breakfast every day and that was actually the third time I chose eggs bennys on the trip and this was by far my favorite!!

Stop Five: SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

We spent two nights in Salt Lake and did lots of driving around the city to see so much more the area has to offer. We decided to go to the ski village of Park City for the day and we are so glad we did!! It was one of the best parts of our trip and may be our favorite town we stopped in. Park City is Such a cute town to see with the best strip of downtown including great shopping, dining, and entertainment. It’s surprising close to Salt Lake as well being only 30 mins away. Highly recommend..especially for some Winter fun! Another drive we made was to the Bonneville salt flats. This drive took a while to get to, but it was beyond worth the drive to see. We also of course pulled over on the way for the best views of the Great Salt Lake. Once we made it to the flats that Pure white sandy salty floor goes on for miles and miles and it is so rare and gorgeous. Definite must see for its rarity.

Places we ate at:

Red Iguana- a highly recommended Mexican restaurant all over the online searches. The food was good, the portions were huge, and the staff was so sweet.

Valter’s Osteria - Italian at its finest! The menu is a bit all over the place but you are sure to find something you love! They bring your food and plate it from the pan right in front of you! Personal touch! I couldn’t decide what to order so I went with the pasta sampler. I loved the ravioli the most, so if you go back try that!

Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade - Best Limeade I have ever had! Perfectly sweetened with cane sugar and all the different flavors you could imagine!! I went with eggs benedicts again and Scotty got a huge breakfast sandwich. Biscuits were amazing!

HSL Restaurant - Such a hip little place for dinner! We went for the burger but let me tell you… I had a few biscuits on this trip (Scotty reminded me haha!!) and this was by far the best!! Also, I got the cauliflower appetizer and that was surprisingly amazing. Recommend calling with a reservation ahead of time if you want to eat inside at a table. We were outside which was fine because it was a gorgeous night!

Stop Six: ZION NATIONAL PARK

Such a gorgeous park! A beautiful windy drive, with lots of scenic varieties of red rock anddddd super crowded full of hikers! I think we got used to how spacious Yellowstone was that we didn’t expect so many people getting out there enjoying nature and getting in their exercise. However, even though the crowds were bigger, the park offered a completely different but beautiful landscape that we had yet to see on our trip. Highly recommend the drive through and we made a couple stops to get out and snap some very unique photos. I would highly recommend doing this park but maybe on a weekday to avoid crowds. It’s a must add to get out of the hustle and bustle of a Vegas trip and the Vegas strip.

Stop Seven: LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

We regularly visit Vegas as it’s about a 5 hour drive or the quickest flight from our hometown, but it was a much needed last stop. We made a quick 1 night 2 day stop out of it but really enjoyed the luxuries of a nice hotel..Vegas style! We stayed at Aria this time and chose to stay and eat at the hotel (I really don’t like walking the strip as much as some). We had breakfast at the Salt & Ivy and dinner at Bavette’s and both were really delicious and adorable places! Only thing I wanted to do in Vegas was stop in and shop for a new hand bag and Scotty wanted to golf so we hit up Royal Links for golf Monday! Both were a success and made for a happy cap to our trip and a happy ride home!

Welcome to Bozeman, Montana! Bozeman is a vibrant, outdoor-oriented city surrounded by majestic mountains and a plethora of outdoor activities. This Bozeman Montana City Guide will provide you with all the information you need to get the most out of your visit to this wonderful city. From local attractions to the best restaurants, to outdoor activities and a bit of history, this guide will have you covered during your stay in Bozeman.

We just returned from our 10-day road trip to Yellowstone (blog post on the whole trip coming soon!!) The number 1 question I got was after planning lots and lots of different stops along the way from Cali, which was my absolute favorite place? I would definitely have to say it was Bozeman, MT. I really loved the cute hotel we stayed at called RSVP. This hip mountain towns food was AMAZING and a few of the restaurants were so much better than even expected and advertised. Everywhere we went seemed to be easily accessible with a quick drive and centrally located off the main road. Are you going to start planning a trip here soon? I’ll break down all my favorites for you, so all the hard work is done!!

#1 Where to Stay?

I always do plenty of research before we travel to find the perfect hotel that fits our needs. Although you may not spend tons of time in the room its so nice to try and find the comforts of home! I personally love a boutique style hotel that has character and charm! I found RSVP Motel of Bozeman long before this trip and had it pinned in my “Vacation Ideas” folder. So as soon as I knew we would be going to Yellowstone I booked it! Bozeman is a little over an hour outside of the North entrance of Yellowstone so it was an easy scenic drive to get to the famous park. The town being outside of the park a bit actually ended up being the perfect place for us to stay because parts of the park (especially lodging) happen to be closed in April. Bozeman was wide open and allowed us to see an amazing town we might not have otherwise if we would’ve chosen lodging in the park.

Back to the hotel. RSVP. Such a cute place to stay with a vintage Motel vibe but modernized! Every corner of the room had design and details that gave it so much character and charm. They offered lots of room goodies like beauty samples for example, and you know I’m all about that attention to detail! They have a coffee maker in each room, but if you need more they have the cutest coffee shop and restaurant called The Farmers Daughter. Its just darling inside and happens to be one of the top rated places to eat online. We didn’t get a chance to eat at their restaurant but the coffee was great and gave us that kickstart in the morning and the staff was so sweet and the place was always busy!

#2 Places To Eat

Bozeman, Montana is an amazing city to explore, boasting a vibrant downtown, unique eateries, and plenty of cultural activities. The main street area is home to a variety of restaurants, from upscale dining to casual pubs and coffee shops, so there’s something for everyone. Probably my favorite thing to do on vacation.. is EAT haha! If you’ve followed along on this trip through Instagram stories you sure did see a lot of food places! Let's break down our favorites, why we liked them and my recommendations on what you should order.

Black Bird Kitchen

SO DARN GOOD! Make a reservation because this small but adorable restaurant is a popular one!! It was packed all night long and I totally get why. We shared different antipasti , salad and tried the blackbird bread (which was delish). We split (dare we say) one of the best pizzas we have ever had. Scott read a review online before going and read that people were saying it was the best pizza they had ever had and even better then Italy. We laughed at that thought and told ourselves that they must not order pizza much. However… They may have been right! The pizza lived up to the hype and then some! BlackBirdKitchen.com

Western Cafe Of Bozeman

A classic that has been around seemingly forever in the heart of downtown and a must eat for breakfast. The scenery is so perfectly Western and gives you that cozy feel of being in a real mountain town. Scott got the Chicken Fried Steak and I got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Both are the top sellers and we soon learned why! Such big portions and so delicious make this place a must eat when in Bozeman! Western Cafe of Bozeman

Mint Cafe and Bar

A short drive to the next small town outside of Bozeman but you’ll get yourself a delicious steak and enjoy the quaint downtown of Belgrade. We both got steaks and Scotty being a good boy got asparagus while I got my favorite guilty pleasure.. the Fries! I wont ever regret getting them either because as good as the steaks were those fries were THE BEST of the entire trip!! Mint was totally worth the 20 min drive and highly recommend calling before you head from Bozeman to get on the waiting list because even in the middle of this small town in the middle of week the place was poppin! Mint Cafe & Bar

The Coffee Pot Bakery Cafe

This was located just up the street from the Bozeman Hot Springs and the cutest little place to start your day with breakfast or to have a delicious midday sandwiches. They make all their fresh pastries and are known for their cinnamon rolls (sadly we didn’t get one because they had sold out!) However the scone we shared was so delicious!! The Coffee Pot Bakery Cafe

public.jpeg

Fink’s Deli

Right next to Wild Crumb you will find Fink’s. An adorable little place to grab a sandwich, soups, salads and cuts of meat and cheese. We grabbed a sandwich to share in Yellowstone and eat as we waited for Old Faithful to blow! It was SO good. The sauce was perfect and the meat and cheese were so fresh. Highly recommend for a quick sandwich grab when going to Yellowstone, planning a picnic or to enjoy at their location. Fink’s Deli

Roost Fried Chicken

If you are in the mood for fried chicken.. Look no further! They have every type of chicken and sauce you could ever want. We of course we tried a few different options on the menu and loved them all. My favorite was the classic chicken sandwich! Its a quick place to eat also if you are in a rush! Roost Fried Chicken

Wild Crumb

A great place to grab some pastries! I got banana nut bread, a cheese and ham croissant and blueberry scone for the day we drove to Yellowstone. They open early enough that it was perfect little stop to grab and eat on the road. Wild Crumb

Jam!

Trendy little place in downtown Bozeman only open for breakfast and lunch! Top of my list from what we ordered? The pancakes! They have tons of options and were so good! Side note, make a reservation as well. Even mid week breakfast the place was crowded. Jam On Main

#3 Things To do

Bozeman, Montana is a vibrant city full of outdoor activities and cultural attractions. Located in the beautiful Gallatin Valley, the city is surrounded by mountain ranges and is home to Montana State University. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Bozeman has something for everyone. Here are some of the things we did during our stay.

Bozeman Hot Springs

Number 1 thing Scotty needs on vacation is a gym after all the good food that we eat. So, me being the planner I am, when I knew our hotel didn’t have one I had to find something to keep him happy! Luckily one of the top things to do was relax in the Hot Springs…but on the property they also had a gym! So, it was a perfect morning to go workout and then jump in the Hot Springs for relaxation all in one place.

Peet’s Hill/ Burkes Park

A beautiful view of the town and a great way to get outside and get some exercise. With beautiful mountains all around it's the ultimate place to take an afternoon walk especially if you brought your dog on this trip.

Drink’s at Montana Ale Works

We didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food.. even though it was highly popular on my search before our trip. It was super cute to just stop by and have a beer from their huge list!!

Bridger Creek Golf Course

If you are a golf fan then Bridger Creek is a perfect place to spend an afternoon. Gorgeous location that I enjoyed the nature of while Scotty got to play a round of golf.

Yellowstone

If you are staying in Bozeman to visit Yellowstone or just looking for something to do on a free day I highly recommend visiting the famous park. Scott and I saw everything we wanted in the Yellowstone Park in one day. We didn’t do too many hikes, but we researched and mapped out everything we wanted to see before so that we got the most out of our time and weren’t looking for things as we were driving. For outdoor enthusiasts this is a must do when in the area.

No matter what brings you to Bozeman, you’re sure to find something that fits your interests. Whether it’s exploring the city’s cultural attractions or enjoying the great outdoors, Bozeman has something for everyone.

We both really enjoyed our 4 days in Bozeman and I know you will too! The town offers lots more that you could add (especially for lovers of the outdoors) but these are the things we narrowed our days down to and truly enjoyed! Hope this Montana travel guide helps your planning.

Wishing you wonderful travels, Amanda

He was even a photojournalism major and an art professor at the local community college in Lake Tahoe.

5 Quick Packing Tips: The Perfect Guide To Planning Your Vacation Wardrobe

Planning a vacation is an exciting time, and one of the best parts is deciding what to wear, especially if you have a few new outfits! However, packing for a vacation can oftentimes also lead to a little stress. It doesn't have to be that stressful. With a little preparation and my five quick packing tips, you can be sure to have the perfect wardrobe for your dream vacation. In this blog post, we'll discuss the key things to consider when planning that vacation wardrobe. I will also provide five easy packing tips I have found to be the best ways to help you pack quickly and efficiently.

Travel Essentials

Planning a vacation wardrobe can seem like a daunting task. After all, you want to look stylish, but also stay comfortable and functional while traveling. There are some key pieces you should always consider packing when planning a vacation wardrobe. A few versatile, coordinating tops and bottoms are a must-have when it comes to packing for any vacation. Choose items that are lightweight and breathable, and can be easily mixed and matched for a variety of occasions. Comfortable, breathable shoes are also essential for any vacation wardrobe. A light jacket or wrap is a great way to layer up for cooler evenings, and a swimsuit for those days spent at the beach or pool. Don’t forget to bring a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful rays.

When it comes to packing for a vacation, there are a few items you should always remember to bring. Travel-sized toiletries are essential, as well as sunscreen, insect repellent, and any other necessary items. A small, lightweight bag or backpack is perfect for carrying around your day-to-day essentials. You may also want to consider packing a few items of jewelry and/or scarves for a more stylish look. Don’t forget to pack a small medical kit, as well as a power bank and phone charger, any necessary adapters for electronics, and a camera and/or laptop. A few books or magazines, a water bottle, and an extra set of keys, are all essential items to have on hand.

These 5 quick tips will help you plan the perfect vacation wardrobe and key items and pack them all efficiently. By following these tips, you’ll have a stress-free vacation and look stylish for all of your adventures.

1. Wear the Bulkiest Items

Planning a vacation wardrobe can be a daunting task, especially when you’re trying to pack light. To make the process easier, here are five quick packing tips that will help you create the perfect vacation wardrobe.

First, choose lightweight items that can be layered easily. A thin t-shirt and a cardigan are great options because they’ll keep you warm without taking up too much space in your suitcase. Additionally, pack items that can be easily dressed up or down, like a pair of jeans and a nice blouse. Natural fabrics, such as cotton and linen, are also recommended as they breathe better and are generally more comfortable.

When it comes to sweaters and jackets, the bulkiest items keep in mind that these are the items that will take up the most room in your luggage, so it’s best to be judicious when selecting them. Lastly, don’t forget to pack a pair of comfortable shoes that can be worn during the day and out at night. Don't underestimate the importance of a comfortable shoe as you probably will be doing much more walking than you're accustomed to.

By following these five quick packing tips, you’ll be able to create the perfect vacation wardrobe that will have you looking stylish and feeling comfortable no matter where your travels take you.

2. Pack Your Shoes at the Bottom of Your Suitcase

Be sure to pack your shoes at the bottom of your suitcase. This is a great way to keep your suitcase organized and maximize the amount of space you have. Place your shoes at the bottom of your suitcase and then stack the rest of your items on top. This will keep your clothes from getting dirty and will also prevent your shoes from taking up too much space.

Another great tip is to fill the inside of your shoes with socks. This makes sure the shoes don't lose their form in your suitcase and also helps with space in your suitcase. Another great way to pack undergarments & socks is to fill them inside of any additional purses or hats you may be packing in your suitcase for optimal space saving.

3. Pack Toiletries

Bring travel size toiletries for a vacation. This will save you space and reduce the weight of your luggage. Make sure to include items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner. For convenience, opt for single-use packets of products such as shampoo and conditioner.

Save all of your beauty samples for travel. I am forever getting sample sizes of makeup and facewashes from Ulta, Lovelyskin and other beauty-based stores, so I always save them to take with me on travel. Especially tiny perfumes, I always pick that on my Sephora gift, because I never want to take a full perfume incase it spills, anything it touches is a goner (they have oils in perfumes that will ruin your clothes)!

If you plan on being in one place for an extended period of time, consider bringing a few extra items such as a razor, tweezers, and nail clippers. These are items that you may not use every day, but they are still important to have on hand. Don’t forget to include a small first aid kit with items like band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers. This will ensure that you’re prepared for any minor issues that may arise during your trip.

4. Roll Your Clothes

Maximize space in your suitcase while also keeping your clothes wrinkle-free. Rolling your clothes is an easy and efficient way to maximize space in your suitcase and keep your clothes wrinkle-free. When you roll each item of clothing, begin at the hem and roll the fabric up until you reach the shoulders. To keep your clothes from unrolling, you can secure them with a rubber band or use packing cubes. (Be aware that a rubber band will leave a mark on your clothes, so I suggest adding them tightly together and they will stay in place perfectly. Or if packing for a child with smaller clothes the packing cubes may be your best bet! Rolling your clothes can also help you to quickly identify each item and find what you need quickly. Rolling your clothes can save you plenty of space, so you can bring more items with you on your vacation.

5. Be Sure To Try It All on

Start by creating a packing list based on the length of your trip and the type of activities you plan to do. Keep your wardrobe simple and choose versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched easily. Don’t forget to bring layers, such as a cardigan or light jacket, so you can adjust to any changes in the weather. Pack items that can transition from day to night, like a nice dress or a blazer and dress pants.

Once you have outfits narrowed down before you are rolling each piece of clothing to add to your bag be sure to try on the outfit. This will make sure you don't forget things like accessories, shoes and if that outfit needs a different undergarment than the others. This also ensures that you still like the outfit you may not have owned in quite a while.

Additional Packing Tips

Above are my planning tips for vacation wardrobes & 5 quick packing tips. You can never have too many tips, and i'm always learning as I go, so here are a few extras that you will find helpful. Always pack toiletries, underwear and two changes of clothes in your carry-on. I try to keep one change of clothes casual like a gym outfit and one that’s regular clothes. There is nothing as frustrating as the time we had where our bags were literally stuck on the plane that wouldn’t take off to Paris from NYC and we spent 2 nights and a full day in the airport not sure if we would ever make it to Europe. We had no extra undergarments or my contact case but luckily I had a workout outfit in the right suitcase.

Leave some room in your suitcase for souvenirs and purchases that you may pick up during your travels. You don’t want to be stuck in the middle of a shopping spree with no room to store your finds because you were overpacking. Separate items that you will need on the plane, such as your passport, wallet, and phone, from the rest of your items. Make sure to carefully pack any essential items, such as medications, chargers, and your passport. Plan out your outfits in advance so you know exactly what you need to pack.

When it comes to packing, it is important to start early and plan your outfits in advance. For an even more efficient way to pack every time get together a checklist of items, you will always need when leaving home. Choose items in neutral colors, such as white, black, gray, or navy, like a capsule wardrobe with pieces that coordinate well together. Then add some personality with colorful accessories and special items. Look for items that are lightweight and wrinkle-resistant, so you don’t have to worry about ironing your clothes while you’re away.

Lastly, be sure to have everything printed out you may need, or if you like less clutter have it all saved in your emails on your phone under flagged emails. This makes it so much easier to find confirmation numbers and tickets when sightseeing once you reach your destination.

Whether you’re packing for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, these five quick packing tips will help you get organized and ready for your upcoming adventure. By selecting the right items and packing efficiently, you’ll have more time to enjoy your vacation.
